The Church of the Last Days is foretold to have a large apostate falling away from the true Biblical faith. In countries such as Britain and the USA where Christianity was considered the foundational belief system, there is now a strong denial against these fundamental beliefs of their fore-fathers. Many only call themselves Christians because they are not Buddhists, or Muslims. They have no relationship with the Living God of the Bible.
The last Church Age described in Revelation 2 and 3 is Laodicea. The Lord says that because of the luke-warm response to His Call and His Word He will spew them out of His mouth. Many from the pulpit now even deny the Virgin birth, the Deity of Jesus Christ, and His resurrection,
Matthew 24:10, 12: [Jesus said] "At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other.... | Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold...."
Matthew 24:37-39: [Jesus said] "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man [Jesus]. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away...."
Days of Noah is speaking of how men on the earth behaved before the Great Flood. The world will be seen to be destroyed twice— by water as in Noah's time, and by fire in the future. In Genesis 6:5-6 it describes how it was in the times of Noah: The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.
Luke 18:8b: [Jesus said] "...However, when the Son of Man [Jesus] comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
2 Timothy 4:3-4: For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from truth and turn aside to myths.
2 Peter 3:3-9: First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."
Revelation 3:14-16: [Jesus said] "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:.... I know your deeds, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm— neither hot nor cold— I am about to spit [literally, vomit] you out of my mouth."
This is easy to see today in both the news and our daily experience.
